Ninjas Want Star Trek

Is he crying because a sub-par, yet incredibly successful, Hollywood Writer/Director is taking a stab at his favorite franchise and thereby ruining his boyhood memories? Or is he crying at his joy that there is another Star Trek movie in the works?

It is both.

Sorry about the extreme tardiness this week. Monday night was the season finale of “Chuck”. (Which you should be watching RIGHT NOW.  That’s what the internet is for.) After that I haven’t had a chance to work on the comic until today. So, you can see where my priorities are. Nyuk-nyuk.

I have found the pen of my dreams. It is a Pigma Micron 02 .30mm micro pigment ink pen. It is what I inked today’s comic with, resulting in the cleaner, less-bleedy (new word!) lines. I may marry it, my attorney is meeting with their’s to go over the pre-nups.

Lastly, I’d like to give a shout-out to R3v3rend who has begun his own webcomic, Divine Wrath! You should go check it out!

Thanks for the shout out. And I am in total agreement with you. The Star Trek movie franchise had started to die down for me with the TNG series of movies. The only ones I really enjoyed were Generations and First Contact (anything with Borgs Im sold). Yea Im a closet trekkie. But this actually looks pretty decent. The costumes seem to be pretty solid and do the Original series justice. Im looking forward to alot of movies this summer, and this is among the top ones.

I actually did get to Watch Chuck on TV Monday night. I still have not caught up with the 4-5 episodes I missed. I even went to Subway last night nd filled out a comment card saying Save Chuck

As for the comic, I am actually looking forward to Stark Trek. It is sad becuase this will be an attempt to mainstream it to idiots like me who were never into it. IF I enjoy it I promise to go back and watch old episodes though

http://confusedmatthew.com/Random-Stuff.php — See the Star Trek Trailer review.

Star Trek might end up being an enjoyable time at the theater. It might even be good. But if the trailers are any indication, it won’t be good Trek, or even Trek at all.
Confused Matthew pretty much sums up my feelings on the new movie. The other day I found further proof (i.e. Star Trek will be an action movie for the masses with little actual Star Trek in it) here: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3173956&p=37

Despite my misgivings, I know I’m going to go see it. Afterward, I will weep with a vigor that will give ninjas everywhere (even the fat ones) pause.

Finally, nice work on the new webcomic r3v3rend. Looking forward to seeing more of them!
